Pet Portraits: Emmy, Belle & Baxter

Some super cute dogs coming your way, first up is an adorable duo, Belle and Baxter, two dogs very different in personality but so cute together. You could see there is a little bit of a size difference going on…

Next up is Miss Emmy, a cute black lab with a very sweet personality. Not so into tennis balls or toys (I know, shocking for a lab!) she has a very mellow way about things. Just keeps me on my toes, no two dogs are the same. :)

Okay so one shot with a tennis ball, but see she doesn’t even need it. Whatever ball!

Four Dog Extravaganza!

I had a wonderful and wild time with these four dogs in my studio. Theo, the tan and white boxer, was in the studio when he was just a little puppy of nine weeks (yes that is him on the left of my blog header, how tiny is he??!!) but this time around he brought reinforcements – his new “little sister”, the brindle boxer and two of his “cousins”. It was fun and wild, especially letting them all run loose. Here is little Theo all grown up…

This is so hilarious to me! You look left, you look right, I will stare at the camera with some fierceness!

And because I love them so much and they always crack me up, some awesome tongue shots…lick kisses!

Pet Portraits: Chikita, Fiona, Ninook and a baby too!

Two sessions for your viewing enjoyment today, first up is a dog and baby duo who I met up with for an on-location session. We had the most beautiful weather  (thank god it is finally summer here!) and it was so nice to get out of the studio for a beautiful Friday afternoon. Ninook and Miss M were a blast to shoot as you can see from below. Love this first shot with the tree…

Her signature move, always got grins. :)

Love this one, so funny!

The following day I met up with Chikita and Fiona at my studio for a dog/cat session. Chikita was a little nervous on the open white floor but her personality totally opened up when we gave her something to sit on. Fiona was a total ham for a cat and did not seem at all nervous about the floor or lights, which is more common for cats who prefer a space to hide in. I love this first shot of them together!

Dog Portraits: Miss Liza

This adorable beagle/lab/shephard mix came into the studio last week for some pet portraits – such a cutie, I have never seen another dog that looked quite like her. Loved toys like a lab but had the great ears of a beagle. Love it!

Dog Portraits: (Harle)Quinn

This beautiful aussie puppy has the most unusual markings, hence the name Harlequin (Quinn for short). I always love photographing Aussies because they have such unique coats, but this is the first aussie I have seen like this. Love it! Being nine months, Quinn still had a lot of fun puppy personality and energy, so the session was a lot of fun.

Great Danes and Boxer Puppies

Sprinkles the Great Dane and Brody the Boxer puppy came in a few weeks back and brought along a couple friends to join in on the fun (their mom’s mom’s dogs). The studio was wild and fun with four dogs here to play! Brody is soooo in love with Sprinkles it is so cute to watch. :)

Dog Portraits: Cinder

Cinder is a cute rescue mixed breed with a very sweet and spunky personality. Lots of energy, go go go!

It’s Raining Cats and Dogs (and Kids)

First up is Rupert the cat, a beautiful cat who was full of curiousity. Many cats are quite apprehensive when they get to the studio (particularly after a dog has been there!) but Rupert was quite relaxed and chill. :)

Next up are two goldens, two english springer spaniels, one king charles cavalier spaniel and some adorable kids. These were technically three different sessions, but the owners were a mom, her sister and her daughter so they all kind of go together. First is a cavalier puppy who was so new it hadn’t even been named yet. So darn cute!

Next an adorable trio of spaniels and a golden. They were so well trained, it made my job easy. :)

Last, another golden who’s “signature move” was the lay-down flop. Cracked me up!

Dog Portraits: Cooper and Sadie

I just returned from a fabulous weekend down in Cannon Beach to shoot a wedding for Sarah and Andrew. We lucked out with the most AMAZING weather you can imagine, particularly with the way last week was going and just a great day in general. I will have sneak peeks of that coming up in the next week or so (I took way too many pictures, it is impossible to narrow it down!) but for today I have a few more dog sneak peeks from the Seattle Kennel Club show special.

Here are Cooper and Sadie. Cooper was an absolute ball of energy, I’m not sure anything will tire him out! It made for a good challenge though and I was able to catch a few non-action shots! Miss Sadie was a Corgie through and through and could be tempted to sit still for a moment if beckoned with a treat. :) Both had beautiful coloring and were a blast to photograph!

Such a “please give me the treat!” shot. I love Sadie’s tongue sticking out!

More sneak peeks coming soon!

Dog Portraits: Pointer & Border Collies

First today is Stuart, a beautiful pointer with great energy and a lovely personality. Also, great floppy flying ears. :)

Now on to two beautiful border collies (I always love the black-and-white mix) who were so cute together! They loved to play together, they loved to lay together, what more can I say?
