Pretty In Pink

These two little cuties came in recently and were such adorable little ballerinas! Big sis S came in two years ago for her one year session (baby shaking multicolored socks on the website) and this time brought along little sis G. Teddy bear MoMo is still a beloved favorite and he came along for some updated photos as well. 🙂

Leavenworth Wedding: Lisa and Connor

Lisa and Connor were married at a beautiful cabin outside of Leavenworth on July 10th. The day was gorgeous and relaxed, everything you could hope for in a wedding day. The cabin is amazing (I want one!), right on the river and is surrounded by towering trees so you could not ask for a better venue for your nuptials (and photos). The bridal party was so fun and up for anything so we had a great time on the back deck and down by the river. This first shot was taken after the wedding as it was still daytime, so we had a chance to sneak away with the couple to this awesome bridge…

The bride’s grandmother’s pearls were a special addition to her bridal gown.

Hello?! Awesome cabin!

How gorgeous is Lisa coming down the stairs? Love this shot.

Two of her bridesmaids. 🙂

Mother of the bride and Lisa sharing a quiet moment.

The flowers were all done by the bride’s mom and friends – amazing job!

I like this unique take on the sand ceremony.

The couple’s puppy and one of the bride’s mom’s dogs had to be a part of the big day.

Bubbles at the end of the ceremony is super fun when you aren’t planning on having a big send-off at the end of your reception.

Okay, best cake series EVER! They both went in for a full face smash…

…causing the bride to nearly fall down the hill behind them…

…but thankfully they made a safe recovery. Check out those faces!

In addition to cake they had yummy mini cupcakes. Someone only liked the frosting though…

The bride’s pup found the most comfortable seat in the house. You know you are having a good day when you let your dog do this on your wedding gown, love it Lisa!

Whew! A warm day requires some moments to chill out!

Hammock by the river?? Did I mention coolest cabin location?

Our last stop for the day was the cliffside lookout where Connor proposed to Lisa.

Thanks for having us as a part of your special day! We had so much fun and congratulations to the newlyweds!

Pet Portrait Special: Spaces Still Available

We braved the rain on Sunday morning to head out to the Furry 5K at Seward Park, a race that benefits the Seattle Animal Shelter. This was our fourth year doing this event and the first time it rained, so I guess that is good odds, although it was the day before summer solstice, so what the heck Seattle?? Racers and dogs were all out in droves, braving the rain (hey, we were under our nice new 10×10 tent, so I guess I can’t say we were that brave, we were dry at least!) and we have many adorable dogs signed up for our pet portrait special to help benefit the Seattle Animal Shelter. We do still have just a few spots still available so if you are interested in signing up, here are the details:

What: Pet portrait mini session, 30 minutes at the Greenlake studio

Cost: $30 for session fee with half of proceeds to go to Seattle Animal Shelter. All prints are in addition to the session fee.

Slots Still Available: Saturday, June 26th at 10:45am

Sunday, June 27th at 12:45pm

Saturday, July 3rd at 12:15 or 1pm

Sunday, July 11th at 3:15pm

To sign-up: Please email with your preferred session date and time. We will then email you a confirmation, directions to the studio, good things to bring, etc.

And because we can’t post without some adorable doggie photos, here is Miss Eva, one of my interns super cute pup who likes to come sleep on the studio floor.

I know these next two shots are very similar, but I couldn’t decide which I liked better, they are both too cute!

And you gotta have an action dog shot!

Doggie Superstar

Guido will be making his superstar debut in the near future (more about that soon) but to celebrate, we had to do a photo session with his new sis, Ginger. Both Jack Russell terriers but very different personalities, so it made for a fun session. They work very well together, Ginger may have a superstar future as well! Since Guido has already had a solo session, we focused on solo shots of Ginger and group shots. This first action shots is officially my new favorite doggie action photo – flying ears!

Hello little pig belly! Love the spots.

Trash the Dress: Issaquah Style

We are kicking off the wedding season with even more amazing Trash the Dress sessions. This one took us to the cuteness of downtown Issaquah with another amazing couple who are celebrating their ten years of wedded bliss. I have to say I am feeling very inspired by these former brides who now have children yet can still fit into their wedding dresses like it’s their wedding day. Love it! And I have to say, the old town of Issaquah is so adorable – an old time Shell station, a train depot, too cute! Okay, enough exclamation points, on to pictures…

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek Melanie and Adam – it was so great photographing you! Enjoy!

Dog Days Mondays: Week Three

Okay, again, I know I am a day late with my Dog Days MONDAYS, but since yesterday was Memorial Day and pretty much felt like a Sunday to me, I am calling today Monday, since it is the official kick-off to the work week for most of us. And what better way to start your work week than with some adorable pups?? Eat your heart out, they are too darn cute for words. 🙂

Hehe, this last shot makes me laugh, like he’s saying, “what, what you want?” I swear the more dogs I photograph, the more I start to see thought bubbles above their heads…

Have a great short week all! Aaron and I are off on a red eye to New Braunfels, Texas tomorrow to visit family, float the Guadalupe River and find some sun! I am done with you Seattle weather! I will try to bring back the sun when we return next Monday. 🙂
